Next year they should all get an AK-47 each, and pose with those. It’s a more reliable weapon than the AR-15 type weapon.

    Some questions:

    1. How much per month or per year?
    2. Where can I see the terms of use?
    3. Reiterating Darryl’s question — what is “Liberty Karma” ?

  3. Re: Just how bad was this year’s Christmas Doctor Who?

Why exactly would a 900-year-old guy from a society with a billion years of its own history care in the slightest about Christmas as Moffat & Co. seem to have written the Doctor as doing?

For what it’s worth, Doctor Who (since 2005) is on par with Star Trek and most other franchises in television drama programming — one episode might be absolutely brilliant (“Blink,” “The Measure of a Man) and the following week’s episode can be total garbage (“Gridlock,” “Night Terrors”). Babylon 5 set the bar really high . . . .

Boortz was all “rah rah Romney” in the last election cycle. He’s a fair-weather friend.

This is a bit of a rehash of the Tueller drill that some CCW instructors (Massad Ayoob being the most known I can think of offhand) run their students through.

Remember that on the street, your assailant most likely won’t be a 57-year-old guy with wires attached to his knife. You might not even see the blade (especially in low-light conditions!) until it’s inches away from you.

Glad to help! I’ve never met Mr. Landrith, but we’ve talked off and on over the years.

Marisa — thank you for the sustainable, ubercosmic summary of the phenomenon which encapsulates things so well.

Hannity was a Romney-roid as well — wasn’t disputing that at all. And for 2016, both of them will be kneeling in front of Christie (or whoever), swallowing up whatever drops of wisdom he pumps down their throats.

That’s why I go with either Hair Nation or Ozzy’s Boneyard on XM, or just CDs.

  13. Re: Why I fled libertarianism – and became a liberal

    From the article:

“Although Libertarians believe government is incompetent, many of them subscribe to the most fringe conspiracy theories imaginable. Airplanes are poisoning America with chemicals (chemtrails) or the moon landings were faked. Nothing was too far out. A great many of them really think that 9-11 was an inside job.”

I’ve been going to LP meetings for 19 years now, and haven’t heard any of this stuff, not even from the looney-tuner types who show up on occasion to try and sell us on their communes and scam schemes. In what was the Ron Paul campaign, I wouldn’t be surprised, though — both the 2008 and 2012 campaigns had their share of crazies.

Actually, I have met one or two, and they didn’t say anything about chemtrails, fake moon landings or 9-11 being an inside job, either.
